Editing a document without the app that made it

The usual way to change one number in a PDF is painful: find the original file, hope you still have the software, or convert the PDF to Word and untangle the mess. AI editing skips all of that. You upload the document, say what should change, and the AI rewrites the full text with your edits applied — then the document is rebuilt in the format you started with.

Because the AI works on the complete text, edits that touch many places at once are easy: replacing a company name across a 20-page contract, switching every date to a new schedule, or removing a clause and renumbering nothing by hand.

Complex original layout is simplified — if you need page-level operations that leave the file untouched (rotate, extract, merge, compress), use the free PDF editor instead. What kinds of edits can I ask for?

Anything you can describe about the text: replace amounts, dates or names, swap a contract party everywhere, delete or add clauses, rewrite a section in a different tone or length, fix wording. One request can contain several edits at once.

Will the original formatting be preserved?

No — and we are upfront about that. The result is a clean rebuilt document: headings, paragraphs, lists and tables are kept as structure, but complex original layout (multi-column design, embedded graphics, exact fonts) is simplified. It is a fresh, tidy version of your document with the edits applied.

How much does it cost?

AI editing costs 20 credits per 1,000 characters of the document, with a 150-credit minimum. A short letter costs the minimum; a 26,000-character contract costs 520 credits. Before anything is charged you see the exact character count, the total price and your balance, and you confirm explicitly. New accounts get 500 welcome credits.

Why is the price based on characters and not pages?

Because that is what the work costs. Two documents can both be four pages long and one of them holds five times more text — the AI reads and rewrites every character of it. Pricing by characters means a short document is cheap and a dense one is priced for what it actually is, instead of everyone paying an average.

What happens if the edit fails?

Credits are refunded automatically and the refund appears in your transaction history. You only pay for edits that complete.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Yes. If the PDF has no text layer, text recognition runs first and the AI edits the recognized text. The recognized text is also what the character count is based on, so the price you confirm is the real one. Clear scans give the best results.

What are the file limits?

PDF and DOCX up to 50 MB and up to 50 pages. Longer documents: cut the part you need with the free Split PDF tool first, then edit that part.

Is my document stored?

No. The file is used for the edit and deleted; uploads are automatically removed within 24 hours.
